** A small caveat before I begin: My husband has usurped control of my computer over the last week or so which is why the timing of my posts has been rather haphazard. I apologize. I have tried using his computer, but, quite frankly, it is the bane of my existence and I am just not that masochistic. I will try to get back on track shortly. Thank you for your patience.**
I hope I am getting to you in time, and that you have not already made the mistake we made last night! Do not under any circumstance see the movie "Good Luck Chuck" with Dane Cook and Jessica Alba. It is just not worth your time or money. It's a shame, as I do think Dane Cook is a genuinely funny comedian. It seems that they wanted this "sex farce" to be the next "Wedding Crashers", but to no avail. The plot was paper thin, the comedy resorted to mostly very crude and disgusting gags, and the best friend character was just creepy and unlikable. So how do I really feel about it?
What makes it worse is that it was "date night" and my husband and I actually got to go to the movie theater to see this movie. That happens maybe once in a millenia or so, evidenced my the fact that the last movie we saw in the theater was "Wild Hogs" and I believe that was in March. "Wild Hogs" was worth it by the way, very funny. Oh well, you can't win them all, and we did have a wonderful night celebrating our anniversary despite this minor pitfall.
