I give my kids ornaments each year too! They love decorating the tree and hearing about each one of their ornaments. Very nice post!

I'm trying not to set my alarm too. Then hubby just pops his head into my office and tells me that I need to set it for 6:45 tomorrow (SUNDAY!) morning for DS's hockey practice. There otta be a law! Sigh.

The advent calendar is awesome. What a cool heirloom to have! We do #5 with our kids as well. It ensures that they will look cute in the Christmas day pictures in their new PJ's!

Thanks for sharing.

Forgot to mention: very impressive stocking you made for your son! I might just have to whip out the ol' sewing machine to keep up with your Martha Stewart-esque self!

I just love thumbprint cookies! And your son's stocking is gorgeous. I am not as talented, but do have talented friends (thank goodness) who've made lovely stockings for my kids.

I give the kids ornaments every year also, though not as a gift on Christmas, just throughout the season!! We also give our kids PJ's every year on Christmas Eve!! Merry Christmas!!

Have you ever had Scottish haggis? 'Cause I'm pretty sure that would make you disown your Scottish ancestry.

It's pretty nasty!
