More Good News

My dear friend Jenny was given a friendship blog award the other day.  This is a lovely thing, as she is a great friend, and is at a point in her life where she can use the love of good friends.  So I will say a quick "thank you" to Finding Fairy Tales  for awarding it to her...I'm pretty sure you made her day.

Guess What?!  Jenny, aka Chased by Children very generously turned around and awarded it to me!  Yeah Me!  In truth the title of the award probably should have been changed to something like "The Infrequent, but extremely boring  insanely clever when they actually do post award".  I admit, for a myriad of reasons posting has not been at the top of my priority list of late.  I am hoping to change that very soon.  Therefore, it is with a grateful and humble heart, that I say "thank you" for thinking of me for this award.

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Now it is my turn to pass on this award to some of my favorite people.

 Lynette at  The Best Things in Life are Three she is witty and charming and just revamped her blog, so it is more beautiful than ever.  AND she just completed her 300th post, so take a moment and congratulate her won't you.

Tired Mama always, always makes me smile with both her posts and her comments!

Jules from The Roost, she is one of my newer favorites.  Many a day I have been inspired by her words and perspective.

This Isn't What I Ordered has made me laugh out loud on many occasion, and often says exactly what I wish I had the guts to say.

Helen at My Bloggie Thingy makes me giggle with stories of her adorable son.

Daddy Forever because he is very funny, and more truthfully (not that he isn't funny, he is) I would really like to be him when I grow up as a blogger, so that I can go weeks between posts and still get 700 comments whenever I do choose to post.

Last, but not least, I am breaking the rules a tad bit and giving this Friend Award to a non-blogger.  My darling friend Chi Chi  formerly of Le Cul-de-Sac Extaordinaire .  Unfortunately for all of us still living on Le Cul-de-Sac Extraordinaire  she and her family began a new adventure last week when they moved to Colorado.  She has been and will continue to be a very special person to me and she will be missed.  Hope she can feel this hug all the way across the country.

Thank you bloggy friends, you have lifted me up more times than you will ever know!          

Guess What?!

Somebody still loves me, AND wishes I would post more!  My friend Fannie at This Isn't what I Ordered just gave me these two lovely and much appreciated awards.

    

Thank you Fannie, you made my day by giving me these awards!  I feel woefully undeserving based on my number of posts recently, but now I know that at least you would welcome more from this little ole Diva, I will do my best to get back on my game.

I will now pass these beauties on to a few very deserving young ladies of the blogosphere.  Two of them I have mentioned to you in the past and two are first time recipients of awards from me.

First to Chased by Children, mostly because if I don't give it to her she will most likely devote an entire post to the fact I did not, in fact, give her the award.  Really she has done it before.  Also, because she is my dear friend and really does deserve them, because she is "Kick Ass" and she "Makes My Day" whenever I see her!

Next up is Add Humor and Faith.  Believe it or not she is the mom of Chased by Children and she does a fantastic job.  Her writing is terrific and I think that being a grandma blogger just rocks!

Willow is a newer friend, but deserving just the same.  She is always good for a great comment or two and I love the name of her blog...Days of Whine and Roses...O.K. I Lied About the Roses is just too fabulous!

Last but not least Lynette at A Day in the life of the Ordinary.  she has always been marvelous, but she recently moved to a whole new state and I believe could use the love!

Check out these wonderful ladies, I know you will love them as much as I do.  And thanks again, Fannie.  You definitely made my day!

Timing is Everything

...and I must say Lisa's is impeccable.  Why?  She thinks I am "excellent" and gave me an award to prove it yesterday!  Yesterday was an interesting day for me and the lovely things she said about me  couldn't have come at a better time.  Thank you so much!

It is my understanding that I am now to bequeath this award the 10 blogs I think are excellent.

I know that she has already received this award in order to pass it on to me and others, but  I happen to think Lisa and her blog take90west are also very excellent.  Hey, you can win more than one Grammy, why not more than one E is for Excellent.  So my friend here is a little more "bling" for your bloggy mantel.

Next, I will pass this on to Jenny from Chicago at Chased by Children.  Lisa gave this award to her as well, so she is now a multiple winner, but when you're good, you're good.  She is articulate, funny, smart, and I am lucky to call her my friend.  Not to mention the fact that if I don't give it to her she will probably write an entire post on the fact that I didn't.  Who needs that?!  Who loves ya baby?  It's me.

My next choice will probably seem a little unorthodox, but I am awarding it to Dragon Lady.  She doesn't have a blog, but her comments are ALWAYS "E for Excellent", and her friendship can't be beat.  Plus Jenny and I want her to start a blog, and this way she has an award before she even gets started.  Also, she will no longer be the Dragon Lady after this weekend as she is giving away her (actually her son's, but we all know how that goes) Bearded Dragon so I figure she could use a little extra love.

This "E for Excellent" goes to Dixie Chick.  I love her style and sass, AND she adores "Dancing with the Stars" as much as I do, what's not to love!  You will should check her out, I promise she will make you smile when you do!

Lynette get over here and claim your award.  You are truly excellent and very funny.  You simply must check out the picture of the "Tacky Sweater" get together she hosted for her mommy's group the other day.  Very clever and looks like it was so much fun.

When I grow up I would like to be chilihead.  She is exceptionally funny, a total rock star in the blogosphere AND she understands the technical stuff of what we are doing here in cyberspace.  This is her main blog, but be sure to check one of her other endeavors, Blogging Basics 101 for easy to understand answers ,to dare I say, all your blogging questions.

Next up?  Fannie Mae at This Isn't What I Ordered, "some people see the glass as half empty, some see it as half full.  I just want to know who the HELL drank my wine" .  First of all, the title and subtitle alone should be all the proof you need that she is, in fact, excellent.  However, when you visit her, you will be equally impressed with her irreverent humor and colorful (in a good way) language.

A mom to three, a college student (yes, she is doing something for herself!), and a blogger  Tired Mama is excellent and then some.  Although she lives in Canada, which may actually be more of the frozen north than even I inhabit, I feel that we are friends across the miles.  Thanks for the smiles you give me!

Pregnant with twins, mom to Racecar, and Ariel (go wish her a happy birthday today), dealing with health issues, and maintaining a smile through it all, Beth at I Should be Folding Laundry (shouldn't we all?!), absolutely deserves the "E is for Excellent" award.  I first "met" Beth as she was training for a 5K charity run that she was not only running in but organizing.  While that is truly a noble cause it was her love of queso that really got me.  When I heard her wax poetic about queso I knew I had found a true soul mate.

Last, but certainly not least, and also not really last 'cause there are more that I love and read out there, but rules are rules and I am only supposed to pick ten.  So my last "E is for Excellent" goes to...Keli at Counterfeit Humans.  She chronicles her encounters with the "stupers" (people that may not be quite as smart as others) and her encounters are not only hilarious, but make each of her readers feel just a little bit better about themselves after reading her stories.  In other words, if you feel like you have done something monumentally stupid, go to Keli's blog she is certain to have found someone who has done something even sillier!

I have been bestowed this very clever, and stunningly beautiful "Underblogger" award.  It was truly an honor just to be nominated (thank you Daddy Forever), but to be picked as a winner by its creator, Dixiechick, and my wonderful friend Jenny, well it is more than I ever expected.  In fact, I have been caught without an acceptance speech.  I'll just have to wing it and hope for the best.

First I thank Dixiechick again, as she is the creator of this little beauty, and I do really think it is a great idea.  It is to honor those of us in the blogosphere that may not have quite the readership we might long for, but still have people that think we are great (or at least moderately interesting) enough to tell others about.  Also, I would like to thank Miss Dixiechick for her true appreciation of Dancing with the Stars.  You are clearly a woman of impeccable taste.

Next, thanks to Daddy Forever for nominating me for the award's maiden journey around the blogosphere!  Back at 'cha buddy.   You make me laugh and I love seeing the pics of the adorable Princess, Spiderboy, and Little Monkey.

Keli at Counterfeit Humans has very generously awarded me this lovely "Blogging that Hits the Mark" award.  I humbly say "Thank You" and I am glad that someone is enjoying this little journey, I am on, with me.  The best part?  Now I get to give this little gem to another deserving someone.  (Yes, I did just say I was deserving in a backhanded, roundabout way)

I bestow this honor to two ladies.  Julianne at Another Gray Hair, because she always makes me laugh, is right on target, and gives good comment!  Also, Lisa@Take90west because we have many a guilty pleasure in common and who doesn't love someone like that, plus she is my laundry room idol, which when you read my other post today you will know how all important that is at this point in my life.
